2010 A Year In Review
I can never stress enough on the intensity of this year.

NOTE: All these times, my loving husband stood strong beside me and we made choices together and faced them all head on, as we held hands in quietly walking through life together. I couldn't have made without him.
JANUARY
India - Nepal (Dec last)
- Spent the New Year's Eve in the train with Aaliaa and Rahul after spending the Christmas holidays traveling with Rahul's parents to the north after Nepal (traveled north to south on land)
FEBRUARY
India - Philippines
- Took a month's leave from work to be in the Philippines with my father in the ICU for 3 weeks, leaving Aaliaa and Rahul behind in India for this long for the first time
- My mother was also in the ICU after my father was released from the hospital
India
- Flew back to India
- Gave my resignation letter in KIS, applied to several schools, took interviews (several phone calls from the UK for Dubai posts)
APRIL
India
- Took several phone interviews for an International School in Malaysia, eventually wrote them a letter requesting to cancel my application to their school, due to further background check with fellow colleagues prior experiences in their school
- Saw my IB students through Internal Assessments and Extended essays
MAY
India - Philippines
- Saw my IB graduating students through successful External Examinations and attended their graduation
- Printed certificates, checked and edited the entire MS reports and conducted the MYP graduation ceremony
- Left KIS after 4 years of teaching in Middle School (2 yrs.), High School (2 yrs.) and being an MYP 9-10 Coordinator (1 yr.)
- Tooke phone interview for AIS, Norway
- Took personal visit and interview @ an International School in Bangalore
Philippines
- Spending one of our longest summer vacation as a family with my parents
- Parents again hospitalized
Philippines-Norway
- Alone to experience the Norwegian Summer
- Started working at AIS
- Survived without salary on the first month ( processing the tax certificates and bank account)
- Settled without the settling-in allowance and shipment allowance as indicated in the contract "upon arrival". This amount came after 3months.
Norway-
- Wrote my resignation letter to the school, AIS due to family visa issues
- Was televised on Norwegian TV
- Rahul and Aaliaa joined me in Norway
- MYP Coordinators' meeting in Tongsberg via Drammen
Norway
- First Norwegian snow
- First Norwegian Fall, visited Kristiansand Zoo
- Organized the MYP In-School Workshop with our workshop leader from the International School of the Netherlands/New Zealand
NOVEMBER
Spain
- MYP Coordinator's Workshop in Seville via Barcelona thru Copenhagen on the way back
- Request for postponment of the authorization to March
DECEMBER
Norway
- Watching the lake and rivers freeze. Hanging icicles and pitch dark mornings and afternoons- Aaliaa sledding down the hills.
- Will visit Oslo, renew passport
Spain
- Meeting KIS friends in Granada and Barcelona
