You Are That
You
who like the gentle warm sun
seep into the dark corners of my fainting heart
Like sprouts of a newly cracked seed
I come alive again
reaching up to you like a tender sapling
hope turns green
as I slowly take my soft roots
into the faithful earth
My heavy eyelids drop in quiet surrender
entering that bright gentle space
under the shade of a standing
mighty deep forest green
Like the trunk of my source
You protect my sweet breath
with the canopy of your embrace
Let me be lost
In the river of your Silence
That raises seeds
From the humble ground
