ADOBO NIGHT

Rahul was out and I knew he will be eating classy , high-end food in his duty during the HIgh School formals. It's the night where students bare in the evening cold and go out with someone. So, therefore, my food critic is out. He will not even have to eat it, but I can choose to leave some for him. NO pressure. It's just going to be me and my little Aaliaa.

I was in a slump the whole day. The change in my career and my new solitary office ( no longer part of a department) isolated me from the rest. The Saturday was extremely quiet and slow. Rahul spent the morning finishing his online workshop and slept in the afternoon to get ready for the night duty.

I was starving. Stressed with the financial strain at the end of the month. Neverthless, I splurged the last few days. I kept on eating out and bringing the family out to ease the stress of deadlines etc..

I didn't eat well today due to the fact that I was exhausted driving Aaliaa around today. Then I went to Facebook, looking at pictures of Filipino food or people talking that they're going to eat Filipino food. I badly needed to quickly pick my self up from a sullen mood. And then I said, let me try cooking adobo.

The moment I tasted the final product and actually enjoyed eating it myself with Aaliaa --That's it. I am already ecstatic, yes, full and happy like no other that I had excellent soft rice, an adobo that tasted and smelled like one and the fried chicken wasn't too bad!

Yeah! This is so worth blogging about!
