Cold, Sore and Tired

I missed 4 sessions of my hatha yoga. The last time I attended I remembered being so challenged ( and yes, frustrated in TRYing to do "halasana" ) only to return and be greeted with a crow pose, a headstand and a dolphin's pose. I was quite happy that I found myself picking up the "surya namaskara" as well as that spinal twist.

I was so tired, it was raining, I was still in the office while the people where already laying their yoga mats. I worked every single hour of that day- including giving a major workshop all by myself. Aaliaa, my daughter had to attend a party and then the best part came - the sky poured and poured for hours. Rahul got a ring from the celebrant's father asking the kids to leave so they can move on to the next part of their party- which didn't happen anyway when we went there. So Rahul had to bring her to another neighbor's house so he can pick me up in the rain.

My body was sore, I was drenched in rain, I was tired from an externally punishing and unrewarding job ( not my teaching though), I was worried about Aaliaa, embarassed with our neighbor and I still had pending work to do- but the day was already over.

I couldn't sleep thinking about the unfinished work and woke up coughing, sneezing and feverish the next day.
