A Prayer

It came to me to write a blog on the prayers of my heart. This is my heart’s prayer for everyone and everything.




I Pray To You


I pray to the stillness in every gentle flower at sunrise…

I pray to the pure laughter of a child…

I pray to the trust of the plants on the rain..

And I pray to the Sun that sustains the earth…


I pray to the fearless tender caterpillar letting go..

I pray to the triumphant bud blossoming..

I pray to the trees that stand grand and tall..

And I pray to all creatures big and small..



I pray to the voice of a sincere loving friend..

I pray to the reaching hands of a family..

I pray to the coming together of a community..

And I pray to the heart in each one of us..


I pray to the angels in our backs..

I pray to the voice in our hearts..

I pray to the light in our minds..

And I pray to the peaceful gazes in our eyes..


I pray to those whose hearts beat in love..

I pray to those whose spirit is still..

I pray to You.

I send a love that’s soft like pink petals of roses

I send a love that’s fragrant like incense

I send a love of a fresh gentle rain on trees

I send a love like a quiet mountain resting with the clouds at sunrise



From my Heart to Yours,

I send a love like a thousand love letters of a lover

I send a love that embraces you warm and gentle

I send a love like gentle kisses in the wind

I send a love like a father’s hand on a child’s head


From my Heart to Yours,

I send a love like a victory of a champion

I send a love that found what it has lost

I send a love that ends the waiting after all the missing

I send a love like thoughts of a beloved


From my Heart to Yours,

I send a love of a mother’s tears who believes in you

I send a love of a friend staying beside you

I send a love of a stranger offering a hand

I send a love of angel’s wings on your shoulder



From my Heart to Yours,

I send a love of knowing you are not alone

I send a love of feeling you are always enough

I send a love of experiencing having more than enough

I send a love of a quiet happiness restored



From my Heart to Yours,

I send a love that heals all wounds

I send a love where you can rest your head

I send a love that forgives all pains

I send a love that’s true for you.

I thank you for nodding in approval when I doubted myself

I thank you for calling me when I needed to know I wasn’t alone

I thank you for letting me cry when I needed to



I thank you for letting me love you

I thank you for being honest with me even if I couldn’t hear you

I thank you for sharing your life with me

I thank you in life and in death


I thank you for writing me letters

I thank you for giving me gifts

I thank you for giving me flowers

I thank you for going places with me



I thank you for appreciating me

I thank you for laughing with me

I thank you for the tears that welled up in your eyes when I told you my sob stories

I thank you for staying all night listening to me


I thank you for telling me your stories

I thank you for healing me

I thank you for letting me heal you

I thank you for sharing your silence with me


I thank you for sharing meals with me

I thank you for sharing drinks with me

I thank you for sharing sweets with me

I thank you for spending time with me


I thank you for believing in me

I thank you for supporting me

I thank you for inspiring me

I thank you for encouraging me


I thank you for giving me opportunities to grow

I thank you for watching me grow

I thank you for letting me rest when I’m tired

I thank you for letting me change my mind


I thank you for letting me shine

I thank you for allowing me to be strong

I thank you for being a wind against my wings

I thank you for letting me fly


I thank you more and for more

I thank you for knowing I thank you still
