Ravages of the Human Mind
It's been eons of conditioning. It has been passed from generations to generations. It has mutated itself and adapted itself to its environment that we so created. It seems to have a life of its own, that many of times, it swallows us whole unprepared. In our panic and fear we disappear in our helplessness to control it. It has become so immense because we are surrounded by it- and unfortunately born with it, independently and collectively.
It has permeated our being, that it has become the master of not only our bodies, but also of our hearts. Many of times, our hearts drown in its identity as well. Everything almost identifies with it. It roars like the gigantic waves that washes away civilizations. However, ironically, it is humbled in front of a still range of majestic mountains. It freezes in the emptiness of an eternal stretch of snow and ice. It is dried up by the empty desert sand of nothingness.
But amongst us, it is alive. It is bursting with life. It hypnotizes us and glues us in the flickering dancing light of television, of chatter amongst neighbors and friends, of the buzzing motions around us acquiring, acquiring, acquiring... There is never enough, because it feeds on the hunger we propagate amongst ourselves. The forgetfulness of our fullness.
