The Fruit of Sadhana is Seva

The Fruit of Sadhana is Seva.

The fruit of all spiritual practices is selfless service. A purified heart becomes fearlessly selfless. It gives, give and gives. May it be time, energy, resources, wisdom or presence. An enlightened being returns to the ground, hands-on, to alleviate all kinds of suffering: spiritual, mental, emotional or physical. The ground could be any realm or dimensions of infinite forms of existence. The invisible world is vast and multi-layered.

Masters are found in every level of existence busy at work all the time. Even in higher realms, they are constantly in contact with their students existing in different worlds where they were also sent to either learn, evolve, review or train to serve. The tasks of some Masters are to keep their promises to their disciples; to find them and return them to the path. Or continue their training.

The masters take many forms to adapt to the constantly changing expressions of time and worlds. However, their inner knowing and heart always leads them to the ones who are looking for them and are ripe and ready to take their guidance. It is irrelevant for the master whether they are recognized or not. All that matters is, they get their job done. As the student advances their intuition and third eye and sensitivities develop. This eventually allows them to recognize their master either in waking state, dream state or meditative state.

Seva or selfless service, which is giving of one’s wisdom, power, time, energy, resources or whatever is required, to move the student forward, is the work of highly evolved beings, whether they realize it or not. It requires utmost Grace as rooted in the foundations of devotion and discipline, to have the energy, space, time and even power to do so.

One may have the time, space and resources and even energy to make them capable of selflessly serving. Yet, they may not have the purity, openness and willingness of the heart to do so. Seva in this case, cannot happen still. However, one may have very little to nothing, in terms of resources and even energy; but when the heart is gushed open like a rushing dam, the resources will rain upon them. Initially, even these initiates whose hearts are open and minds, strong will still undergo hefty challenges to prove their salt to the earth. Seva requires stability, tenacity, iron will,Perseverance and clarity of purpose.

Seva requires stability, tenacity, iron will, perseverance and clarity of purpose. In short, a capacity to withstand the tests of selflessness and purity in service. Shall the sevak/sevadal, the person engaging in seva, serve with the ego of doership and ownership, the burning will equally be severe.

Unbeknownst to most, the fruits of seva penetrates across generations before and after. It can transcend space and time. The highly evolved ones, jump at every opportunity to serve, while the ones asleep under the spell of enchanting ignorance, feel they are doing the separate self a favor. The sufficiently evolved disciple knows, that everyone is the greater self, and what the sevak gives, is but opening the gate of Grace upon Oneself. In order to find oneself soaked in the mercy of seva, a certain depth and intensity of thousands of incarnations or sadhana or spiritual practice is always behind it.

Sadhana is a flower of faith. There is a certain faith behind every spiritual practice whatever one’s religion may be. With the flowering of faith and the lubrication of Grace, one may be blessed with an opportunity to serve. The consequences of egoic selfish service is beyond imagination. It will slowly close and contaminate the heart and harden the ego further.

With great awareness, one may catch the mind playing to fan its insecurities. And with that same awareness, the flame of pride in giving can be dowsed to ashes quickly. The masters tests the servant under study constantly without personally having to take part in the Lela or divine play.

As the master thinketh, the curtain of the stage opens and the play begins.
